“All God does is watch us and kill us when we get boring. We must never, ever be boring.” Chuck Palahniuk

Batman

I’m home, but luckily have another (almost) week off from work. Today was all about getting back to routines. I went to the gym to get some cardio in and apparently after a week of very little exercise and a borderline love affair with a chocolate cream pie, I… lost 4 pounds? So, seriously, I just have no idea anymore. I am going to stop worrying about it and just focus on being healthy.

The flight yesterday was eventful – with about 2 hours left before landing, I got very dizzy and started sweating. I asked the guy next to me to open my vent, and I don’t remember anything else for the next five or so minutes. I fainted and woke up to what looked like the entire plane standing over me. This happened to me once before, after I gave blood, so may have something to do with being dehydrated, or who knows what, but apparently I passed out and then had some convulsions, and it was scary as hell. The flight attendants on Virgin America were great, I have to say, and everyone around me was very sweet even though I was just dying for everyone to stop looking at me and leave me alone. The guy next to me asked me if I believe in prayer. No, I immediately thought. Yes, came out of my mouth, for some reason, and he prayed for me. I spent the rest of the flight drinking apple juice and eating bread with ice on the back of my neck and felt like shit but I’m fine now.

New Year’s resolution #3 – this one is going to sum the rest of them up, courtesy of Aaron Sorkin.

Live the rest of my life as if I’m alive.

That’s all.
