It’s a pretty good hat though

This week has been sucko, so here are some random Friday musings…

The papal election spectacle has been quite something – and it really has been awhile since I’ve been able to pull out my awesome Smoke Monster from Lost jokes and be relevant – but somehow I can’t really get into it. I can’t remember how I ever swallowed that whole “women are not fully human” philosophy pill thing they are selling, but I definitely have no more capacity for that. Such is their biggest obstacle, which they clearly have zero intention of changing about with this selection, so… I hope hell isn’t too humid, I hate that.

Bitch got her dragons back… beware

Okay let’s focus on more important world events. Like this – Game of Thrones comes back on March 31, which is awesome. This season is based on the book Storm of Swords, which if you aren’t as incredibly dorky as I am, is totally the Empire Strikes Back of the Song of Fire and Ice series. Duh. For everyone I just lost, that means it’s good. To quote my nieces, “I am ‘cited!”

Finally, an open plea to Emma Watson: There is a vicious rumor going around that you are considering the role of Anastasia Steele in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie coming up.
Please.

I do not need you to be Hermione Granger for your whole life, but please don’t destroy all my faith in mankind by being the most hideous leading character in the book that represents the largest step backward for womankind in the last fifty years. I am only slightly exaggerating my distaste about this horrible travesty. Please, no, let some other actress piss me off, you are just too lovely.
